“you should wear your hair down more often, it makes you look really pretty. but you know, whatever you want.”

“some day I might grow a pair and ask you out but honestly you’re so out of my league..”

“out of your league, huh?” you ask, leaning up against the locker next to his, holding the note in your hand. he slams the locker door loudly, the look in his eyes betraying every emotion he had, and he almost starts back away from you in shock.

“I don’t know what you’re-”

“michael, I sit next to you in history- well, when you show up, anyways. the handwriting matches.”

“fuck- I mean, ah,” he blushes furiously, “I just, um, yeah, about that,” he stutters. and you can hardly believe it, that this guy that half the school was afraid of was leaving you nice notes in your locker. that he wanted to ask you out.

but instead, you shove a piece of paper into his hand, pivoting and walking away before he could unfold it, finding your own note to him. “it wasn’t that creepy. call me sometime,” with a series of numbers scribbled down at the bottom.
